Project Goals

to promote the development of human rights-based, inclusive digital governance in Kazakhstan by strengthening the capacity of civil society and promoting legal mechanisms for the protection of privacy and personal data.

Project Objectives

As part of the project, plans include:
  • Enhancing the skills, tools, and organizational practices of civil society organizations, legal professionals, and grassroots initiatives in Kazakhstan, ensuring their ability to provide legal support, monitor violations, and promote accountability mechanisms in the sphere of the right to privacy and personal data protection
  • Strengthening the advocacy capacity of civil society, strategic communication, and stakeholder engagement in order to promote the formation of national policy and public discourse in the field of digital rights and data protection, making them more inclusive, human rights-based, and evidence-driven

Target Audience of the Project

The project targets a wide range of individuals and entities, including:
  • Civil society organizations
  • Legal professionals and human rights defenders
  • State bodies and decision-makers
  • Media representatives
  • Youth and young professionals
