SAILAU2020

is a project to train trainers in independent election observation on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organized by public foundations "Wings of Liberty" and "Youth Information Service of Kazakhstan" with the support of the Soros Foundation-Kazakhstan.

Project purpose

- training of professional trainers in the field of electoral law, capable of training a pool of independent observers at the upcoming elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan and subsequent elections in the future.

Within the framework of the project it is planned 3 ToT (training of trainers), training sessions for participants and participants from different regions and cities of Kazakhstan, who after the training will already prepare the observers themselves, thus strengthening and developing the institution of observation and generally the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

The first online course on observation in Russian and Kazakh languages is currently being developed and will be posted on the Fund's website.

Given the state of emergency associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, the project's work was fully online.
